The Flight To Boston

Yet another Sacramento representer? You bet. To be perfectly honest with my opinion, Sacramento is looking like the future of Hip-Hop. With artists like KidD Steve I feel like everything is going in the right direction, making music that people can feel. Check out this project he did with Jonathan Lowell, a young producer with much skill. KidD Steve spits really smooth over R&B and Soul samples. Peep this West Coast gem

Dope Hip Hop From Sacramento.

If you've been on my blog in the past, you already know about Chuuwee. He just dropped a new mixtape entirely produced by one of the illest production teams, Cookin' Soul called The Date Tape. He covers topics everyone can relate to, in dope fashion, so I suggest you download that.

I'd also like to take this chance to introduce any of my viewers to C Plus, another vicious MC hailing from the City of Trees. He recently dropped Viernes Negro, and its packed full of bangers including the song Captain Kirk, which is very enjoyable and maybe one of the best songs to roll up to.

Bawsss

Had to post this, one of the illest covers I've seen. Shouts to two of my favorite MCs

Louis Armstrong

There's so much I could say about this guy, but I love his music and thats all that really matters.

Curren$y x Fiend x Golgo 13

Curren$y ft. Fiend - Flying Iron from Creative Control on Vimeo.

The anime in this music video is from Golgo 13, a series about this amazingly skilled assassin. Its definitely one of my favorite things to watch, I downloaded the whole series. I really enjoy this song too, its dope.

Sorry I've been slacking

I got some ish to make up for it though.
You may or may not have heard of an MC named Illecism, either way I suggest you check out his new mixtape entitled "Molotov", especially if you're an MF Doom fan like me. Molotov

Wu-Tang is for the children.

No one could ever deny the drastic impact that Wu-Tang Clan has had on hip-hop culture, skateboard culture, and thousands of kids lives. I know the moment I started listening to Wu my life changed, not on some drastic I was never the same again, but definitely hearing about life from their aspect and sound changed the way I viewed life and music. To me, their sound is timeless, and I don't think can never hear the song Method Man enough times.

Edith Piaf

I don't really know why, but for some reason this video made me cry. I mean I don't even understand what she's saying, but if you listen you can feel the emotion. For real...

One day when I'm rich...

I'm going to go to fashion week in Paris. Seriously, I've been dreaming about that lately. I used to not really care about fashion, I only cared about looking decent. I never appreciated the art form of it all until recently, and now I look at an Emporio Armani dress and wonder how something that beautiful could ever be fabricated. Maybe some day I'll even get a chance to try my hand at design!

Here's some Dolce & Gabbana, Spring 2011.

Chuuwee

About 2 years ago, I had the great pleasure of hearing the very first song I had ever heard by Chuuwee. To be honest, from the moment I heard it I KNEW he had huge things ahead of him. Since then I've remained a fan of his work, his music, but most of all his persistence. I feel like there are few people with his talent who will put in all the work that it takes to make it happen for them, and Chuuwee has definitely done that. He recently released a mixtape with Lee Bannon, an excellent producer and another artist you will have to look out for. Please take a moment to listen to his music, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Antonio Carlos Jobim

This is a great picture of one of my new heroes. I never really listened to much more than The Girl From Ipanema, but his other music is such a joy to hear. Really relaxing stuff, ladies and gentleman...

My new blog.

Alright, so here it is. I've made an attempt at maintaining a blog before, but the effort never lasted past a few posts here and there. I'm at a point in my life where I feel I can draw inspiration from so many different elements that influence my life. Music, culture, fashion, people, scenery... its all beginning to play a role I never felt or thought of. Hopefully what I contribute to this website will be an inspiration to other artists, if not an entertainment to anyone else. So please, enjoy.
